David Camp's Early Art
Click on a banner title on the Left or Right or on a thumbnail below.
Red links to galleries in my twin visual poems will appear.
(Click here if the two side frames are not visible)
Thumbnails within each gallery lead to expanded images in a new window.
Many of the full size image pages run Fabio Ciucci java applets.
The first applet you open will take extra time to load.
There will be three versions of each gallery in this 20-year project.
I am currently working on the second version of each gallery.
The latest revision is the Abstract gallery in Mental.

WHY THREE VERSIONS OF EACH GALLERY?
1) The computer age is an age of revisions and updates.
2) This work is like a novel or poem in three drafts.
3) Making a 3 level structure links this to the Commedia.
4) I had little to work with in 2001, I can do better
than my first pass through my Divine Comedy imagery.
5) I like the multi-dimensional nature of three levels,
It is like mansion with three levels instead of just one,
more rooms (states of consciousness) to move around in.
6) The fact that each version will look significantly different.
is a reflection of we are different in each of our lives here,
different bodies, minds, levels of understanding and lessons.
7) 11 sections times 3 equals 33 sections, another Commedia number.
8) I should be retired from my university library job by the time
I start my final pass, and so I'll be able to work full time on it.
