Canto 27. Fire (Feb. 2017)
(fourth incarnation)

In the next canto of the original poem, an angel appears to Dante telling
him that he must pass through the fire of purgatory's 7th terrace
to be purified of his own lust before ascending to the bliss that awaits him.
After passing through the fire, Dante climbs higher, and, finding that
it is night, he falls asleep and dreams of two beautiful maidens.
Upon waking, he is told by his guide that it is time to move on alone.
